Recently, Professor Bohdan Cherkes, Doctor of Architecture, Director of the Institute of Architecture and Design, Lviv Polytechnic National University, has celebrated his 70th birthday. On May 23, the Mayor of Lviv, Andrii Sadovyi, expressed the gratitude to Bohdan Cherkes for his contribution to the development of the city and presented him with the Golden Coat of Arms of the City of Lviv at a meeting of the University Academic Board.
«During its existence, Lviv Polytechnic has always been a source of innovation. In recent years, Lviv has taken a number of positive steps in terms of innovations in architecture. And these steps are also taken by the students of Professor Cherkes. So, today I have a special mission – on behalf of the Lviv community to present you with a special award – the Golden Coat of Arms of the City of Lviv», said Lviv Mayor Andrii Sadovyi.
Bohdan Cherkes emphasized that for him «there is no more important task in life than to serve Lviv and Lviv Polytechnic».
By the way, the Golden Coat of Arms of the City of Lviv is awarded to those people who, due to their conscientious work, have made a special contribution to the development and life of the city of Lviv.
