Osvita.ua portal published the annual ranking of Ukrainian higher education institutions according to the Scopus scientometric database. The results of the ranking are based on the citation indicators of scientific articles published by educational institutions or their specialists.
The ranking was concluded based on the results of scientometric monitoring of subjects of scientific and publishing activity of Ukraine according to the indicators of the SciVerse Scopus database in April 2023.
The Scopus database constantly indexes more than 20,000 scientific publications in technical, medical sciences and humanities. The database also includes publications of scientific journals, conference proceedings and books.
In the ranking table, Ukrainian universities are ranked according to the Hirsch index – a quantitative indicator based on the number of scientific publications and the number of citations.
According to the results of the ranking 2023, Lviv Polytechnic National University was ranked eighth.
