About The Baltic University Programme

The Baltic University Programme (BUP) has been operating in Ukraine since 1991. There are around 110 universities from 10 countries of the Baltic Sea region participating. The Programme’s Coordinating Secretariat is located in Uppsala, Sweden.

The main aspects addressed, studied, and explored within BUP projects include sustainable development, environmental protection, and democracy in the Baltic Sea region. The goal of the Programme is to support the key role of universities in promoting democratic, peaceful, and sustainable development.

BUP offers a variety of engaging activities for bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral students, as well as for academic staff from the member universities. Lviv Polytechnic National University is one of the participants of The Baltic University Programme. The Programme’s website provides access to information on sustainable development and environmental protection.
