The main aim of the project is to study EU legislation and practices on working with data accordingly to EU Data Act and Data Governance Act, dissemination of information about the new European Data Strategy.
The objectives of the project are as follows:
- to promote excellence in teaching and research in the sphere of EU data governance in general and implementation of the EU Data Act in Ukraine in particular;
- to define the competencies and skills related to data governance accordingly to EU legislation and the learning strategies to follow to develop these competencies in students;
- to improve the quality of professional information technology specialists, data scientists, and business analytics training with a focus on the EU values of data governance, standards of EU, and respect for human rights;
- promote the spread of knowledge to all stakeholders about the main advantages of investing in next-generation tools and infrastructures to store and process data, joining forces in European cloud capacity, pooling European data in key sectors with common and interoperable data spaces, and giving users rights, tools, and skills to stay in complete control of their data;
- to equip students, graduates, stakeholders, and the public at large with the knowledge of developing a single market for data by supporting responsible access, sharing, and re-use with respecting the values of the EU and, in particular, the protection of personal data, promote understanding and perception of EU values, encourage of their enforcing in national practice
Outcomes of the project:
- enhancing employability and improved career prospects for young graduates, by improving the curricula proposed by the LPNU, through delivering advanced knowledge and awareness about data governance in EU;
- raising the level of knowledge of IT-specialists about the data governance in EU and the feasibility of using it in Ukraine and spreading knowledge among the population about the advantages of participation in the implementation of the European Data Strategy.
