Lviv Polytechnic National University and the Lviv Office of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine invite students and academic staff of the University, including the Institute of Jurisprudence, Psychology and Innovative Education and the Institute of the Humanities and Social Sciences, to participate in the online presentations and discussions on UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security, as well as to join the celebration of the 20th anniversary of its adoption and to discuss the campaign «16 days against violence against women».
A short presentation will be given in English by the Lviv team of the OSCE SMM in Ukraine, which includes observers working in Donbas. It is planned to discuss the topic of women on the front line in Ukraine, issues of gender-based violence, gender aspects caused by the conflict, as well as the impact of Covid-19 on the female population of Western Ukraine.
The keynote speaker will be Duncan Spinner, Gender Coordinator at the Lviv Office of the OSCE SMM.
Moderator of the event is Oksana Ivanytska, Associate Professor at the Department of Psychology, Pedagogics and Social Management, Lviv Polytechnic National University.
The event will take place on the Zoom platform on December 7, 2020. Beginning at 11:00. Approximate duration – 50–60 minutes.
