From May 22–27, 2022, teachers of the Department of Photogrammetry and Geoinformatics, the Institute of Geodesy, Lviv Polytechnic National University, – Senior Lecturer Liubov Babii, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Assistant Iryna Zaiats and Candidate of Technical Sciences, Assistant Khrystyna Marusazh – participated in the Erasmus+ academic mobility program at the University of Life Sciences in Lublin, Poland.
Academic mobility included teaching and participation in scientific and methodological activities. During the period of mobility, representatives of Lviv Polytechnic gave lectures to first-, second- and third- year bachelor students majoring in Geodesy and Cartography. Topics of lectures – «Development of materials for remote sensing of the Earth», «Interpretation and decoding of aerospace images» and «Methods and results of monitoring of island glaciers on the Antarctic coast».
Also, within the mobility program, faculty of the Institute of Geodesy took part in scientific seminars of the Department of Environmental Engineering and Geodesy, the University of Life Sciences in Lublin, where they presented the results of their research activities at the Department of Photogrammetry and Geoinformatics, Lviv Polytechnic. During the seminars there were discussions and exchange of views on ways to develop future scientific cooperation (joint research, writing joint articles, preparing applications for international projects), as well as discussed the peculiarities of educational programs of the Institute of Geodesy, Lviv Polytechnic National University, and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, the University of Life Sciences in Lublin, Poland.
Our teachers also had the opportunity to get acquainted with the infrastructure of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin and the Department of Environmental Engineering and Geodesy, in particular with modern surveying equipment and software.
