This year’s conference is dedicated to two dates. The first one is the 125th anniversary of reinforced concrete in Galicia. Our University is well known for possessing the first concrete product in Europe – Tulie arch bridge. And the second date is the 130th anniversary of the birth of Professor Adam Kurylo, who in the postwar period was the Head of the Department of Building Constructions at the Faculty of Construction Engineering.
Among the main issues, discussed by the researchers, there were Structural shaping and optimization; Aspects of structural behaviour and modeling; Experimental tests and numerical simulations; Highway and bridges engineering, etc.
This science event took place with the participation of partners and coorganizers from Rzeszów (Poland) and Košice (Slovakia). The participants were greeted by the Vice Rector of Lviv Polytechnic Nataliia Chukhrai, as well as musicians of the Polyphonia Chamber Orchestra.
