On October 24, the Department of History, Museum Studies and Cultural Heritage of Lviv Polytechnic held an International scientific and practical conference on Narratives in the Contemporary Museum: Experience of Ukraine and Lithuania. The conference took place within the framework of joint Ukrainian-Lithuanian programs as part of the project «Museum as a Space for Polylogue of Dominant and Alternative Narratives: From Theory to Practice».
Over twenty specialists in the field of museum work from all regions of Ukraine, partners of Lviv Polytechnic – academics from Vilnius University, a wide range of Lviv scientific community and students attended the event.
The reports of the project participants provoked a lively discussion. Especially useful for the professional community was a roundtable discussion held at the end of the event, during which there were offered recommendations on the implementation of policies and cultural memory for museum workers.
