Lviv Polytechnic is implementing an information project «Ecological Polytechnic», the purpose of which is to form and develop ecological thinking of our employees and students, as well as to encourage them to new initiatives. One of the directions of this project is waste sorting.
– It is clear that sorting is easiest to start with paper at the University. This type of secondary raw material has the least requirements and we have a lot of it. We know that lots of students and teachers sort garbage at home, so we created the same opportunity for them at the University, – said Iryna Romanovska, head of the Department of Marketing and Innovation, Lviv Polytechnic. – In the main building we have placed special containers for paper garbage. We hope for the ecological consciousness of Polytechnicians and their readiness to sort garbage correctly.
How to do it?
Bring dry, uncontaminated paper, squeeze it if possible and throw it in special containers placed around the University (or if it does not fit, put it next to it).
Importantly! To recycle paper, it must be clean – free of food, beverages, and greasy stains.
