At the end of April, a large-scale knowledge assessment in the field of Occupational Safety and Health of the heads of higher education institutions, their deputies, as well as the heads of the departments of education in Lviv region and specialists in Occupational Safety and Health took place at Lviv Polytechnic University.
Such events are aimed at organizing safe conditions for study, work and education of the participants of the educational process, raising qualification level of officials on occupational, fire, radiation and road traffic safety, occupational health and hygiene, civil protection and emergencies.
– This is a planned event for the permanent commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. For two days, the heads of the departments of education at the educational institutions of the 3–4 accreditation level, as well as the heads and their deputies of 1–2 accreditation level, had the opportunity to attend lectures on Occupational and Life Safety. Representatives from the Main Department of the State Service of Ukraine for Labor in Lviv region, the Main Department of the Civil Service for Emergencies, the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection, the Trade Union of Education and Science Workers of Ukraine and the Social Security Fund of Ukraine were invited to work in the commission. After the lectures, all participants were tested. Corresponding certificates were given for good results, said Volodymyr Shepitchak, the head of the Department of Labor Protection at Lviv Polytechnic.
