Improvement and optimization of internal processes is important in the context of realization of University strategic goals. The implementation of modern practices, the use of innovative approaches in the realization of these processes is a prerequisite for its effective operation in terms of increasing competition in the market of education and research services, the struggle for talented entrants as well as for creating an environment favorable to learning, work and personal development.
Liliia Zhuk, Vice-Rector for Education and Strategic Development, told us about innovations in Lviv Polytechnic, which will contribute to the University development and the improvement of its working and learning conditions.
– How did you start implementing these changes?
– This June, we collected proposals from the Polytechnic Departments how to improve business processes in all areas in the University. These are, in particular: organization and information support of the admission campaign, improvement of the educational process, organization of scientific activity, etc.
It is gratifying that the Directors of the Institutes and the Heads of the Departments demonstrated their readiness to respond to the challenges, as well as to focus on positive changes in the University. Separately, I would like to note the active position of IEM, IHSS, IECDR, as well as some Departments – Department of Artificial Intelligence Systems, Department of History, Museum Studies and Cultural Heritage» and others who submitted their proposals.
It is important for us to consider all areas of work from the standpoint of direct participants, who are involved in the most processes and know from their own practical experience what challenges may arise and what needed to be changed or improved.
