On 6 March, Lviv Polytechnic hosted an important event – International Day. It was the first meeting in a series of weekly events aimed at presenting international educational and academic mobility programs as well as study abroad opportunities for University students.
Representatives of such international programs as Erasmus+, NAWA, Leopolis for Future, double degree programs, DAAD, OeAD and the Baltic University Program spoke at the event about the possibilities of studying under these programs.
Nataliia Hots, Head of the Centre for International Education, noted that Lviv Polytechnic cooperates with more than 100 universities around the world which opens up numerous opportunities for students to study abroad.
– We are constantly working to expand our cooperation so that students have more opportunities to study abroad, emphasised Nataliia Hots.
The speakers noted that most international programs require proof of foreign language proficiency. They told us what certificates to look for. It was also noted that at Lviv Polytechnic, after passing a test at the Centre for International Education, you can get a Polytechnic language certificate. It can be useful for internal mobility and others international programs.
The meeting was held in an open format: students had the opportunity to ask questions about the conditions of participation in the programs, document requirements, choice of universities and funding. The coordinators provided answers and advised on how to start preparing for study abroad.
– I have long been interested in the possibility of studying abroad, but I did not know where to start. Today’s meeting helped me to understand the programs, document requirements and language certificates. I am especially pleased that the coordinators answered all my questions and explained how to actually get a scholarship. It is very motivating, shared his impressions of the event one of the students.
International Day is just the beginning. From now on, new meetings will be held every Thursday to learn more about international programs, language courses, document preparation and scholarships. The next meeting will be held on Thursday, 13 March 2025, at 14:00 in room 226 in the main building of Lviv Polytechnic. The event will be dedicated to Erasmus+ programs.
