On March 30–31, 2023, the Department of Business Economics and Investment, Lviv Polytechnic National University, held the 4th International Student Scientific and Practical Conference «Innovative and Investment Development of Business in Conditions of Shock Disturbances».
The conference was held in a mixed format and was dedicated to topical issues of business development in today’s conditions.
Orest Koleshchuk, head of the Department of Business Economics and Investments, the Institute of Economics and Management, addressed the conference participants with a welcome speech. In his speech, he expressed his gratitude to the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the opportunity to hold the conference, and also emphasized the importance of continuing scientific work in war conditions and the relevance of the issues of this year’s conference. He wished all the participants fruitful work and a quick victory in the war with the aggressor.
The main thematic areas of the conference were:
- digital transformation of business;
- financial and economic mechanisms for ensuring business development;
- socio-economic development of regions: problems, prospects, and challenges;
- ensuring innovative investment development of business: chances and risks.
Students and postgraduate students of the following educational institutions took part in the event:

- Vinnytsia National Technical University,
- Ivan Franko National University of Lviv,
- National University «Kyiv-Mohyla Academy»,
- State Biotechnological University,
- State University «Institute of Market and Economic and Environmental Research», the National Academy of Sciences,
- Kryvyi Rih National University,
- Odesa National University of Economics,
and, of course, Lviv Polytechnic National University.
In total, 65 reports were presented, which were published in the collection of conference materials.
