57 people – scientists, postgraduate students, students, employees of public organizations and sociological agencies registered to participate in the conference. In total, more than 70 participants joined the event. In particular, there were representatives of the Jagiellonian University, Republic of Poland, the Dnipropetrovsk Scientific Research Institute of Forensic Expertise of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, Mechnikov Odesa National University, Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University, the State Organization «Institute of Market and Economic and Ecological Research» of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, L. Ukrainka Volyn National University, Honchar Dnipro National University, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Ostroh Academy National University, Kyiv International University, National University «Odesa Law Academy», Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, National University of Water and Environmental Engineering, Rivne, Drahomanov Ukrainian State University, Lviv Polytechnic National University, as well as the Ukrainian National Platform of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum, the public organization «European Choice», the public organization «Agency of European Innovations» and the sociological group «Rating».
The main focus was on the discussion of the current problems of the political, economic, security, humanitarian and socio-cultural dimensions of the Eastern policy of the European Union, the search for effective cooperation mechanisms that will contribute to the realization of the European integration aspirations of Ukraine as a candidate for EU membership, the prospects for its further participation in the EU initiative «Eastern partnership» in the conditions of modern geopolitical challenges, mainly due to the military aggression of the Russian Federation in Ukraine.
The day before, on March 23, a meeting of the «Youth Summit of the Eastern Partnership» was held on the topic «Security dimension of the Eastern Partnership: challenges of the Russian-Ukrainian war» with the participation of students majoring in International Relations at Lviv Polytechnic – participants of the EaP Initiative project.
