Traditionally in the summer the Japanese Speaking Camp is held at the Department of Foreign Languages of the Institute of the Humanities and Social Sciences. This year was not an exception – from July 1 to July 5 three dozen students plunged into the world of Japan.
The camp leaders were regular partners of the FL Department – delegates of the Japanese Foundation in Ukraine Yasunori Fujisaki and Tomoko Maedzimu.
Three dozen first-fourth year students who study Applied Linguistics, as well as other students who attended the course of the Japanese language at the FL Department, became the participants of the Camp. Previous year only Polytechnicians had such an opportunity, but this year the Japanese Camp opened its door for the students of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv as well.
The study was free of charge. Every day students had three lessons, two of which were conducted by Japanese teachers. At the end of the day there was a cultural program: students had the opportunity to get dressed in traditional Japanese clothes – Yukata, try themselves in calligraphy art Syodo and Japanese dance Bon Odori.
Upon completion of the camp, all students received the certificates of participation.
