On February 19, 2020, the Institute of Geodesy, Lviv Polytechnic National University, held a lecture on Using GIS technologies in agriculture on the example of Canada by Donald Skopyk, a researcher at the University of Saskatchewan.
The speaker described the use of the latest technologies in agriculture of Saskatchewan, Canada, as well as presented various approaches and GIS methods, revealing their advantages and disadvantages.
Students and academic staff of the Institute of Geodesy participated in the discussion at the lecture. Professor A. Tserklevych from the Department of Engineering Geodesy described the use of GIS technologies in Ukraine and in particular in agriculture, emphasizing on their importance in the educational process.
