On January 16–17, 2019, a delegation from Lviv Polytechnic National University, consisting of Rector, Professor Yurii Bobalo, First Vice Rector, Volodymyr Pavlysh, Vice Rector for Scientific Research, Nataliia Chukhrai, and Associate Professor of the Institute of Telecommunications, Radioelectronics and Electronic Engineering, Hryhorii Vaskiv, paid a visit to the State School of Higher Education in Chełm (Państwowa Wyższa Szkoła Zawodowa w Chełmie).
– The purpose of the visit was to learn from the experience of aviation mechanics and pilots training. It is interesting that Lviv Polytechnic was once one of the first in Europe to form the aviation idea, making the aviators’ dream come true. Nowadays the traditions of aeromodelling are gradually being restored in our university: ITRE introduced the specialty of Avionics. Thus, the experience of Chełm is very interesting, – emphasized Nataliia Chukhrai, Vice Rector for Scientific Research. – In Europe and Ukraine, the air transportation market is one of the most dynamic, as it grows annually by 25–30%. Therefore, the training of such specialists is a promising business. Of course, it will require a lot of effort and work to create the appropriate training material base as well as to train the academic staff. Thus, the experience and assistance of our Polish partners from Chełm will be very useful.
