The Department of Foreign Trade and Customs, Lviv Polytechnic National University together with the ANTS, National Interests Advocacy Network, held a Round Table on the Problems of Managing Foreign Economic and Customs Activities. The representatives of customs authorities, Lviv Chamber of Commerce and Industry, business, public organizations, parliamentary and diplomatic corps, academic environment, professional associations as well as students took part in the event.
The discussion dealt with the vectors of the development of the customs system of Ukraine, the structure of foreign trade turnover, the prospects of Ukrainian-Polish cooperation, the problems of joint transit, customs visa-free, authorized economic operators, customs clearance, the development of foreign economic and customs infrastructure, the movement of humanitarian goods, the implementation of European rules in the field of foreign economic and customs activities, etc. The moderator of the Round Table was Oksana Yurynets, Doctor of Economics, Professor at the Department of Foreign Trade and Customs
Poland’s experience in transforming foreign economic and customs processes was outlined by:
- Lev Zakharchyshyn – Consul of Ukraine in Gdańsk (2016–2021), Commissioner for Polish-Ukrainian solidarity at the European Solidarity Center;
- Marta Adamiv – Deputy Head of the Department of Foreign Trade and Customs, Doctor of Economics, Associate Professor, participant of the Kirkland Research program.
