On June 18Yurii Bobalo, University Rector, Nataliya Chukhray, Vice-Rector for Education and International Relations, and Nataliia Hots, Head of Center for International Education, met with Alisher Kurmanov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan, at Lviv Polytechnic.
At the meeting, they discussed ways to establish cooperation between Lviv Polytechnic and higher education institutions in Uzbekistan, in particular with one of the oldest universities in the country – Samarkand State University. It was primarily talked about the academic mobility of students, researchers and academic staff. The possibility of double diplomas programs was also discussed.
In addition, Ambassador Alisher Kurmanov shared further plans for the development of higher education institutions in Uzbekistan, which open branches of prestigious universities, including Lviv Polytechnic.
Vice-Rector Nataliya Chukhray stressed a number of opportunities for international students who study at Lviv Polytechnic and suggested holding online working meetings with Heads of higher education institutions in Uzbekistan to discuss opportunities for cooperation in more detail.
