The Professional Development Programme for Academic Managers is a unique initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. The programme is being implemented by the British Council as part of the joint project of the Ministry of Education and Science and the World Bank Ukraine Improving Higher Education for Results Project – UIHERP.
Between 17 February and 13 March 2025, Ukrainian higher education institutions submitted 187 applications to participate in the Professional Development Programme for Academic Managers. Based on the results of the evaluation, 93 applications were selected for participation in the Programme, and 94 applications were rejected as they did not receive the required number of points.
Ukrainian higher education institutions selected to participate in the Programme by locations (places of study):
- Kyiv city: 42 applications were selected, 25 of which for the first cycle of the Programme (start of training on 2 April) and 17 for the second cycle of the Programme (start of training on 1 October);
- Dnipro city: 24 applications were selected, 20 of them for the first cycle of the Programme (start of training on 2 April) and 4 for the second cycle of the Programme (start of training on 1 October);
- Lviv city: 27 applications were selected, 25 of which for the first cycle of the Programme (start of training on 2 April) and 2 applications for the second cycle of the Programme (start of training on 1 October).
Lviv Polytechnic National University is among those selected for training in Lviv (team manager – Professor Ivan Demydov, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Vice-Rector for Scientific Research).
Further communication with the teams selected for the Programme will be carried out by the British Council.
