The rector of the University Professor Yurii Bobalo, the head of the Tech StartUp School Nazar Podolchak, the head of Lviv Regional State Administration (LRSA) Maksym Kozytskyi, the first deputy mayor Andrii Moskalenko, and the People’s Deputy of Ukraine Yurii Kalinchuk, attended the event.
The representatives of the Dahl East Ukrainian National University, Lviv Locomotive Repair Plant, «Hravikon», Science Park of Lviv Polytechnic and Science Park of Kharkiv Polytechnic, Association of Road Transport and Infrastructure of Ukraine, participated in the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation and the creation of an innovative transport cluster Tech Rail.
In the online mode, the participants of the meeting were greeted by Andrii Vitrenko, the First Deputy Minister of Education and Science, as well as Latvian partners.
According to Yurii Bobalo, rector of Lviv Polytechnic, we all understand the importance of this project, because it will determine the development of Ukraine’s economy in the near future, and specialists trained by our University will be able to actively participate in it. Yurii Kalinchuk emphasized that the initiatives taking place on the basis of Lviv Polytechnic can serve as an example for other universities, in particular foreign ones.
Thus, from now on, the logistics of rail transport, and rail transport will develop more effectively, and innovative products, which are in demand in the field of rail transport, will be created.
In general, the Memorandum provides an opportunity to develop related industries, relocate enterprises, create new job, and also brings us closer to participation in the intergovernmental Three Seas Initiative. That is why the meeting on the occasion of the signing of the Memorandum was called From the Three Seas Initiative to the Creation of the Lviv Region Cluster.
