Scimago institutions rankings have been produced since 2009 by the Spanish company Scimago Lab, associated with a number of Spanish universities. The rankings are calculated on the basis of the Scopus scientific publications database and the PATSTAT patent database. Three groups of indicators are used for calculation: research performance (50%), innovation outputs (30%) and societal impact (20%).
Lviv Polytechnic National University continues to improve its positions in the rankings and this year ranks third among national higher education institutions and 663rd in the world. In previous years, our University ranked fourth and eighth in Ukraine, and respectively, 764th and 794th – in the world.
According to the results of the rankings, Lviv Polytechnic ranks first in Ukraine in such fields as «Business, Management and Accounting», «Computer Science» and «Engineering».
