In November 2021, the International Cooperation of Universities in Central and East Europe (CUCEE) celebrated its 20th anniversary at the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen, Germany. The coordinators and representatives of the administrations of Partner Universities attended the event. Vasyl Tkachuk, a coordinator from Lviv Polytechnic, Professor at the Department of Electromechatronics and Computerized Electromechanical Systems, the Institute of Power Engineering and Control Systems, was awarded in honor of the 20th anniversary of the Cooperation of Universities in Central and East Europe.
In the framework of the international cooperation of such partner universities as the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen (Germany), the University of Zielona Góra (Poland), Tallinn University of Technology (Estonia), Vilnius Technical University (Lithuania) and Lviv Polytechnic (Ukraine), the Institute does a lot of work to organize the study of Lviv Polytechnic students in Germany and helps them receive scholarships from international organizations. Within the framework of the Commonwealth Agreement signed in 2000, joint research projects have been implemented, international scientific and technical conferences have been held, and researchers and postgraduate students have been exchanged.
One of the central areas of cooperation in the CUCEE is the so-called International Integrated Learning. Its participants receive diplomas from both partner HEIs that provide the training.
The education process is conducted in two languages, partly at the alma mater and partly at the partner university, and ends with the completion of a thesis, which is supervised by mentors from both universities. The educational programs of both higher education institutions are implemented due to the appropriate coordination of the program and mutual recognition of exam results. The graduates of the International Integrated Learning receive diplomas from both universities.
