Traditionally, Prosvita People’s House, under the leadership of director Stepan Shalata, greet Polytechnicians with the Old New Year, which Ukrainians celebrate on January 14. Today, creative amateur bands entertained everyone with carols, vinshuvannias (greetings) and shchedrivkas. Leadership of the University, including Rector, attended the event.
Zaspiv Folk Bandura Ensemble, Suziria Pop Song Ensemble and Khochu (I Do Want) Theatrical Studio performed for the guests. Musical ensembles performed both traditional carols and new musical works. And Khochu Theatrical Studio recited vinshuvannias. They wished our University prosperity, new achievements, lots of talented students, as well as good health, joy and peace to everyone present.
At the end the Mnohaya lita song was solemnly sung by all present. We join the greetings of the Prosvita People’s House. May the old year take with it all the sorrows and troubles and give each of us comfort in our homes, peace and tranquility in our souls.
