On 15 March 2024, an online webinar was held within the framework of the I African Congress on the topic "Africa and its problems in the European experience (selected examples)", organised by Dr Teresa Astramowich-Lake, Doctor of Political Science, Professor. The event brought together a distinguished community of scholars who presented research on African issues.
The speakers at the Congress were both Polish and Ukrainian scholars, in particular from Ostroh Academy (Doctor of Political Science, Professor Alla Atamanenko and Associate Professor Nataliia Konopka) and Lviv Polytechnic National University (Doctor of Political Science, Professor Yaryna Turchyn and Associate Professor Olia Ivasechko). In addition, Polytechnic was also represented by young female students, such as Iryna Tyshkevych, Tanya Bondar, Daria Panova and Yulia Vaida, European Youth Ambassadors, first-year master's students of the Department of Political Science and International Relations of the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences. The topics of the reports were extremely relevant and focused on various issues on the agenda of the African continent.
It is noteworthy that Yulia Vaida spoke at the African Congress as part of the EU's Global Responsible Leadership for Climate Change, Environment and Humanitarian Aid (EU_LEAD) project.
