According to the results of this year’s rankings of the best universities in the world Times Higher Education World University Rankings by subject 2023 among 11 fields of knowledge – Art and humanities, Business and economics, Clinical and health, Computer science, Education, Engineering, Law, Life sciences, Social sciences, Physical sciences, and Psychology – Lviv Polytechnic National University is included in the rankings in four fields:">

This year, Lviv Polytechnic improved its position in the world rankings in the field of Engineering, entering the group of 601–800 best universities (last year – 801–1000), and maintained its position in the other three fields of knowledge, and at the same time took the leading first and second places among Ukrainian universities.
The subject rankings use 13 indicators (the same as in the world rankings), grouped into five categories: teaching, research, citations, international outlook, and industry income.
The right to participate in the subject rankings is determined by two criteria: the threshold of the number of publications in the field of knowledge and the threshold of the number of scientific and pedagogical workers in this field.
