The Times Higher Education (THE) produced updated results of THE World University Rankings 2022 by subject: Physical sciences. The ranking includes 9 Ukrainian universities.
For several years in a row, Lviv Polytechnic has been a leader among higher education institutions in Ukraine in the field of Physical Sciences and, in particular, in three subsectors – Physics & Astronomy, Mathematics & Statistics, Geology, Environmental, Earth & Marine Sciences, ranking in the category of 601–800 among the world best universities.
Times Higher Education World University Rankings by subject is one of the leading world university rankings. The subject ranking is published annually by the Times Higher Education magazine.
In total, the subject ranking of THE WUR includes 11 sections, each of which presents a list of the best HEIs in a particular field. The analysis is based on the standard conditions of the general ranking THE WUR, and the methodology is adapted to the specific focus of the proposed educational specialties. Universities receive scores from 0 to 100 on the level of teaching, quality of research, citation of scientific papers, participation of HEIs in innovation processes and global research and other indicators.
