Wheelchair fencing competitions are taking place in South Korea. Athletes from 34 countries are competing for the tournament’s awards.
Andrii Demchuk, a 36-year-old representative of Ukraine, became the best in wheelchair fencing in the men’s saber category A.
Andrii is the champion of the Summer Paralympic Games, Honored Master of Sports of Ukraine, multiple prize-winner of international competitions.
Andrii Demchuk has two higher educations – he graduated from Lviv Polytechnic National University and Lviv State University of Physical Culture. He teaches Computer Technologies at the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technologies, Lviv Polytechnic. In 2015, he obtained the degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences.
He is also involved in volunteer activities and visits soldiers in Lviv hospitals.
