The National Paralympic Wheelchair Fencing team became the third among 33 member countries of the Wheelchair Fencing World Cup competitions held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, from November 13 to 17. It has received 7 medals, 2 of which are silver and 5 bronze.
On the first day of the competition Andrii Demchuk, the Assistant at the Department of Information Systems and Networks of the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technology at Lviv Polytechnic, Honored Master of Sports and the champion of Paralympic Games 2016 in Rio de Janeiro, won the second place in the saber tournament. In the semifinals Lvivite defeated Marius Schmidt from Germany with a score of 15: 8, but the final meeting ended in favour of his opponent Jian Quan Tian, China, – 15: 9.
