Polytechnicians opened the exhibition «Scientific architectural and archaeological research of the residence of King Danylo Romanovych in Chełm»

On July 29, the exhibition «Scientific architectural and archeological research of the residence of King Danylo Romanovych in Chełm» was presented in the Architect’s House (Gunpowder Tower) in Lviv.

Mykola Bevz, Doctor of Architecture, Professor, Head of the Department of Restoration of Architectural and Artistic Heritage, the Institute of Architecture and Design, Lviv Polytechnic National University, together with his colleague Andrzej Buko, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor at the Institute of Archeology and Ethnology, Polish Academy of Sciences, spoke about the Ukrainian-Polish scientific expedition in Chełm and its results, which were presented at this exhibition.

A number of well-known scientists also gave their interesting scientific reports. The researchers, including Leontii Voitovych, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, Yurii Lukomskyi, Candidate of Architecture, I. Krypiakevych Institute of Ukrainian Studies, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Doctoral Student at the Department of Architecture and Restoration, Lviv Polytechnic, Vasyl Slobodian, Candidate of Historical Sciences, «Ukrzakhidproektrestavratsiya» Institute, and Vira Hupalo Doctor of Historical Sciences, I. Krypiakevych Institute of Ukrainian Studies, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, spoke about the state-building and architectural activities of Danylo Romanovych.

The exhibition will run until August 21.

We would like to add that the exhibition is dedicated to the Day of Ukrainian Statehood.
