For several years in a row German-Ukrainian Education Center at Lviv Polytechnic has been working to ensure that students of our university and colleges in its structure have the opportunity to undergo internship at German enterprises and gain innovative experience. It also cares about new opportunities for startup investments.
– In June startup makers had the opportunity to present their projects at the Investor Days in Erfurt. Six teams with their startups went to this large-scale event. It is a great honour to show your developments at such a level. After all, there were projects from the United States, the Czech Republic, Peru and Germany, said the Director of the German-Ukrainian Education Center Denys Nevinskyi.
According to Nazarii Podolchak, the Director of Tech StartUp School, the teams of Tech StartUp School did not win because of several factors, one of which was the language barrier. After all, everybody presented their projects in German, but our startup makers – in English. But, despite this, German side was quite satisfied with our startups. As a result, two teams are actively negotiating, and one of them has already found partners to implement its project.
In the future, they plan to again take part in the selection of the best projects in Germany. Eventually, Tech StartUp School will announce StartUp Breakthrough-2 with a Hackathon. These events will be held in partnership with London and Israel.
