Nataliia Shakhovska, Rector of Lviv Polytechnic National University, and Oleksandr Aziukovskyi, Rector of the National Technical University «Dnipro Polytechnic», signed a memorandum of cooperation aimed at developing partnerships between higher education institutions.
The discussion of potential areas of cooperation brought together representatives of Lviv Polytechnic, including Roman Korzh, Vice-Rector for Institutional Development, Iryna Yaremchuk, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, Ihor Helzhynskyi, Vice-Rector for Social Affairs and Infrastructure Management, as well as representatives of Dnipro Polytechnic: Kateryna Pilova, Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Economics; Tetiana Kuvaieva, Head of the Department of Marketing; Daria Bukreieva, Professor at the Department of Economic Analysis and Finance; and Mykola Trehub, Professor at the Department of Geodesy.
The concluded memorandum provides for the establishment, expansion, and strengthening of cooperation in the fields of education, science, social and cultural activities. The parties agreed to promote the popularization of science, foster innovation, enhance career guidance for Ukrainian youth, and provide mutual assistance within the framework of the universities’ economic activities.
Within the framework of the memorandum’s implementation, the universities plan to jointly organize and participate in scientific and educational events, including conferences, round tables, seminars, trainings, presentations, and training courses. Particular emphasis will be placed on the exchange of experience, knowledge, and methodological materials, as well as on the development of scientific research and innovation activities.
The Rectors also agreed, by mutual consent, to involve in the cooperation other educational and scientific institutions, organizations regardless of their form of ownership, as well as specialists in relevant fields.
The Memorandum is based on the principles of partnership, mutual respect, mutual assistance, consideration of common interests and confidentiality of information obtained in the process of cooperation. In case of force majeure circumstances, the parties undertake to inform each other in advance.
