The Spring School «Training Courses in Ukrainian (NMT-2025)» by the Department of Ukrainian Language for Lviv Polytechnic entrants started on 18 February 2024.
To successfully pass the National Multisubject Test in Ukrainian, entrants need to prepare systematically and responsibly. During nine Tuesdays (from 18 February to 15 April 2025), the faculty of the Department of Ukrainian Language will help applicants to revise all the rules on the topics contained in the «Programme of External Independent Testing in the Ukrainian Language» and practice tasks in test form as close as possible to the NMT.
During the Spring School intensive course, entrants will be able to master the norms of the Ukrainian literary language at all language levels.
During the first week’s training, Associate Professor Myroslava Hnatiuk emphasised the peculiarities of pronouncing vowels and consonants and the similarity of consonants during articulation. She drew attention to the interesting things how to memorise literary accents, helped to recall the means of making the Ukrainian language sound nice, and commented on typical test tasks that may be on this year’s NMT. The organisers are grateful to the students who actively participated in solving the tasks, were active throughout the lesson, and hope that this Tuesday there also will be lots of entrants who are eager to update their knowledge and who are still waiting for the trainings on:
- orthography – Associate Professor Zoriana Kunch and Senior Lecturer Iryna Mentynska;
- vocabulary and phraseology – Associate Professor Liliia Kharchuk and Senior Lecturer Volodymyr Diakiv;
- morphology and syntax – Associate Professors Oksana Lytvyn, Halyna Horodylovska and Sofia Bulyk-Verkhola;
- punctuation – Senior Lecturer Iryna Shmilyk.
The Department of Ukrainian Language is pleased to invite everyone who wants to enter Lviv Polytechnic to attend the training. It’s never too late to join, so entrants are sincerely encouraged to attend the Tuesday meetings on the zoom platform.
