On March 18, as part of "Dissemination EU practices through e-marketing, conscious consumption, circular economy and resource efficiency" project (Erasmus+ JMM) with the marketing and logistics department teachers’ participation of Economics and Management Institute (Lviv Polytechnic) Oksana Dovhun, Taisiia Nakonechna, Nataliia Hryniv and students visited logistics warehouse UB1 of BERTA group.
The UB1 company has more than transport 180 units and more than 7,500 customers. The excursion participants saw how the warehouse logistics tasks of the international standard 3PL logistics services operator are practically implemented.
Students inspected several warehouse aisles with various products, heard about the storage features and storage control of various goods categories, got acquainted with the conveyor work and the main fulfillment department tasks.
It is important that the company improves its processes every time, in particular the sorting and cardboard, film and wood recycling: there is equipment that processes waste in the warehouse, and established cooperation with companies that collect leftover materials for recycling. The excursion participants were delighted with the modern composition and received practical information about how everything happens in real logistics.
