The student campus of Lviv Polytechnic National University received diesel generators with a capacity of 160 kW and 130 kW from UNHCR Ukraine – the UN Refugee Agency in Ukraine with the assistance of the Lviv Regional Military Administration.
The student campus of Lviv Polytechnic is a complex of dormitories in two locations, which are a temporary place of residence for more than 6,000 residents, including students and forcibly displaced persons.
― The received generators will make it possible to provide emergency power in the case of a long-term power outage: 12 individual heat points (ITP) and TTP-12, which will make it possible to continue providing heat to the residents of the dormitories; the 10th clinical hospital, which will allow continuing patient services; shelter in dormitories, which will make it possible to organize there small points of invincibility for residents; and publicly accessible Points of Invincibility at two locations of the student campus, – explained Ihor Helzhynskyi, director of the Lviv Polytechnic student campus. ― We sincerely thank our international partners for such a generous and much-needed gift! With your help, we will stand and win for sure!
