On November 26–27, 2021, the Department of Psychology, Pedagogics and Social Management, the Institute of Jurisprudence, Psychology and Innovative Education, Lviv Polytechnic, held an International Scientific and Practical Conference «Professional development of a teacher in the conditions of integration into the European educational space: international academic and professional / professional-pedagogical mobility».
Researchers from Italy, Poland, Spain, Sweden and Romania joined the conference. 105 scientists took part in the scientific meeting.
The participants of the conference were welcomed by Volodymyr Ortynskyi – J.S.D., Professor, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine, Director of the Institute of Jurisprudence, Psychology and Innovative Education, Lviv Polytechnic, and Fausto Presutti – PhD in Psychology, Professor of Psychology, President of the I.S.P.E.F. Institute of Psychological Sciences of Education and Training and the European Center of Education (ECE) Rome, Italy).
The conference participants heard interesting and practice-oriented reports, in particular:
- Fausto Presutti – spoke about the unique long-term experience of successful implementation of the author’s model TELSAC in teaching innovation in the European educational space;
- Nataliia Hots – Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Center for International Education, Lviv Polytechnic, on the impact of internationalization of higher education on the professional development of teachers;
- Oleksandra Yakymets – Doctor of Philosophy, psychologist and researcher at the Institute of Psychological Sciences of Education and Training (Rome, Italy), on the results of the study of learning strategies and educational discomfort of Lviv secondary schools teachers conducted with the participation of scientists of the Department of Psychology, Pedagogics and Social Management, Lviv Polytechnic;
- Oleksandra Iievleva – Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor at the Department of Psychology, Pedagogics and Social Management, Lviv Polytechnic, on methodological and regulatory aspects of organizing professional and pedagogical mobility of teachers in framework of training implementation to obtain professional qualification «teacher».
The discussion of the proposed topic testified to the topicality of improving the professional development of teachers in terms of integration of the education system of Ukraine into the European educational space. The leading factors that determine the effectiveness of this development are the high level of international academic and professional mobility of teachers. The formation of these types of mobility must be carried out in the process of teaching students in higher education institutions, and upskilling – within the organization of advanced training of scientific and pedagogical staff of educational institutions.
