Target groups:

  • students (full-time and part-time) of the National University "Lviv Polytechnic";
  • postgraduate students, teachers of the Department of Electronic Engineering and the Department of Chemical Engineering;
  • employees of the energy sector (Lvivoblenergo);
  • representatives of Ukrainian companies and international experts in the industry;
  • representatives of government bodies and the general public;
  • students and representatives of the scientific community of other universities in Ukraine.

 

The aim of the project:

To disseminate information about EU energy efficiency strategies among students, teachers, and the general public in order to promote sustainable development, reduce energy consumption, minimise environmental impact, and support European goals for the EU Green Deal.

 

Project objectives:

  1. Progress in the quality of educational practices in the field of energy efficiency and resource conservation to promote innovative cooperation between Ukraine and the European Union.
  2. Promote European quality standards for the effective implementation of reforms in this area through dialogue between the academic world and society, including politicians at local, regional, national and EU level, civil servants, representatives of civil society, representatives of different levels of education and the media.
  3. Increasing awareness of the target audience in the areas of development of green energy and energy efficiency to improve energy security and prevent global climate change.

Focusing on the environmental sustainability of Ukraine, following the example of the EU Green Deal. Better understanding of European standards to enhance the efficiency of equipment utilizing in modern chemical and electronic engineering.

 

Main Project Activities and Initiatives:

1. Educational Initiatives

  • Teaching two elective courses: “Energy Efficiency Engineering and Resource Optimisation in Chemical Technology”, “Energy-Efficient Electronic Lighting Systems: Technologies, Components, and European Standards”
  • Organisation of a student scientific and practical conference.
  • Summer school on energy saving and ecological innovations.

2. Research Activities

  • Publication of research results in the form of abstracts, practical guides, and scientific articles.
  • Conducting scientific workshops, demonstrations, and analytical research sessions.

3. Dissemination of European Experience

  • Open lectures at other universities in Ukraine.
  • A series of open lectures for professionals in the energy sector.
  • Organization of roundtable discussions with representatives of government, business, and expert communities.

4. Community Engagement

  • Fest-workshop in the student campus.
  • Educational events on energy saving and environmental responsibility.
