On January 23, a Solemn Academy on the occasion of awarding diplomas to international Master’s students was held in the assembly hall of the main building of Polytechnic.
The first Vice-Rector of the University, Oleh Matviikiv, Vice-Rector for International Relations Nataliia Chukhrai, Head of the Department for Foreign Students Serhii Kupchak, as well as the leadership and representatives of the Institutes who selected the students came to greet the graduates and share their joy.
– Remember that studying at University is precious for relationships you have established here – this is your future. These relationships with your colleagues and academics will help you grow in your career. I also want you to thank your parents: due to their support you were able to come to Ukraine, pay for your studies and graduate from University. May your path be interesting and may you realize all the knowledge gained here and become successful, said the first Vice-Rector in his welcome speech.
Nataliia Chukhrai expressed hope that the diploma «will open a new, wider and brighter path» in the life of «graduates-ambassadors of Lviv Polytechnic».
According to Serhii Kupchak, Head of the Department for Foreign Students, among forty international graduates predominate representatives of such countries as Morocco, Egypt and Ecuador. The greatest demand was for the Institute of Architecture and Design, the Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Systems, the Institute of Economics and Management, the Institute of Telecommunications, Radioelectronics and Electronic Engineering and the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technologies.
From the hands of their mentors, the new masters received diplomas and gifts in memory of their Alma Mater. It is nice to note that one of the graduates Azzaui Hisham from Morocco successfully passed the exams and got enrolled in a postgraduate course at the Institute of Architecture and Design.
