On September 1, Gaudeamus National Students’ Choir of Lviv Polytechnic successfully performed in the Church of Sacred Heart of Jesus in Torrevieja, Spain. Excursions, a small performance on Tabarca Island and one more concert in Rojales, Spain, will remain in our students’ memories for a long time.
– People who came to the Church of Sacred Heart of Jesus loved our performance. The church was full of people, we were twice called for an encore, but they still didn’t leave. Now we can proudly say that we conquered the Spanish audience, said Roman Machyshyn, the artistic director and conductor of Gaudeamus National Students’ Choir, who first came to Torrevieja six years ago and fell in love with the city.
In the local newspaper Objetivo Torrevieja the Choir received only positive reviews – the concert was called to have been wonderful.
After a day of rest, the Choir sailed to Tabarca Island, where they had an excursion and a small performance. The final concert was in Rojales. On their way back to Ukraine the Choir had been to Barcelona, Paris and Dresden.
