This graduation within one of the largest projects operating in Ukraine since 2003 is special. It is special because soldiers with deep wounds have been trained here. 52 persons successfully completed courses under two programs – «Technologies of starting and running a business» and «Strategic development of territorial communities». Not all graduates were able to come to Lviv Polytechnic that day, because some are undergoing rehabilitation, some are undergoing prosthetics abroad, and some are at the front.
During the certificate presentation ceremony, many words of admiration and gratitude were expressed – admiration for the desire to learn and be retrained, as well as gratitude for the defense of Ukraine, and for an important contribution to the approach of our Victory. The participants also remembered those who gave their lives in this war, honouring their memory with a minute silence.
There were, of course, words of gratitude to the Norwegian partners, the Government of the Kingdom of Norway, thanks to which this project continues, as well as to all those who are implementing it in Ukraine.
The graduates of the courses were greeted by Tetiana Shapovalova, the head of the project, Associate Professor at the Department of Sociology and Social Work, the Institute of the Humanities and Social Sciences, Lviv Polytechnic, Professor Yurii Bobalo, Rector of the University, Halyna Mysakovets, representative of the Lviv regional branch of the Social Protection Fund for Persons with Disabilities, Olha Filina, project coordinator, course teachers – Nazarii Podolchak, head of the Department of Administrative and Financial Management, IAPE, director of the Tech Startup School, Lviv Polytechnic, and Sofiia Stavkova, an English teacher. The graduate of the program, Roksana Terletska, expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to study, and the University Rector urged all veterans to continue to choose Lviv Polytechnic, where all opportunities for study have been created.
We would like to remind you that the Norway-Ukraine project is implemented by Lviv Polytechnic National University in partnership with the public organization «New Society of Ukraine» with the financial support of the Government of the Kingdom of Norway and the International Fund for Social Adaptation and the budget program of the Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine. Every willing participant of the Russian-Ukrainian war can join it.
