The Department of Information Technology Security and the Department of Information Security of the Institute of Computer Technologies, Automation and Metrology of Lviv Polytechnic welcomed American delegation within the framework of the U.S. Civilian Research and Development Foundation program. The delegation consisted of four members: Joel Rasmus, Managing Director, the Center for Education and Research in Information Assurance and Security at Purdue University, Lafayette, Indiana, David Ebert and Nicole Hands, Purdue University professors, and Douglas White, Senior Program Manager, Cybersecurity at U.S. Civilian Research and Development Foundation, Arlington, Virginia.
The main purpose of their visit is to assist in the development and improvement of the materials for Cyber Security IT Audit course. Professor Nicole Hands was a moderator at meetings and seminars with Lviv Polytechnic academics and students.
Guests also delivered several lectures for academics and students of Lviv Polytechnic. In addition, after negotiations an agreement on scientific cooperation and academic mobility of students and academics between Lviv Polytechnic and Purdue University was reached.
