The number of international students at Lviv Polytechnic National University is increasing every year. Foreigners are usually attracted to educational programs taught in English. Such a choice is not accidental, because the internationalization of the educational space presupposes its unification primarily on the basis of language.
The web portal Study Abroad Aide (South Korea) shows the growing popularity of our university among international students in the 2023–2024 World Rankings for Best Universities for International Students, in which Lviv Polytechnic takes second place among Ukrainian institutions of higher education.
This year Lviv Polytechnic National University employed 65 teachers to teach subjects in the English language to international students. The development of the teaching project for international students requires additional efforts related to the organization of the educational process. Today, international students at our University are mainly Chinese citizens. The Center for Chinese-Ukrainian Cooperation at Lviv Polytechnic initiated a meeting of the teaching staff and the management of our university.
Such a meeting was held on November 8, where a number of topical issues were discussed and appropriate decisions were made. Liliia Zhuk, Vice-Rector for Education and Strategic Development, Nataliya Chukhray, Vice-Rector for Education and International Relations, Oleh Davydchak, Vice-Rector for Graduate Education, Oleh Kuzmin, director of the Institute of Economics and Management, Mykhailo Yastrubskyi, head of the Center for Chinese-Ukrainian Cooperation, Serhii Kupchak, Department for Foreign Students, and the heads of the Departments where international students study English language programs attended the event.
