The State Archives of Lviv Region is testing a system of artificial intelligence developed at Lviv Polytechnic National University. The computer program helps employees detect and correct errors in the nomenclature of documents. Previously, everything had to be checked manually, and it took a long time.
The Archive employs 47 people. To help archivists spend less time reviewing documents, they began using a special computer program. It was developed by a student of the Department of Artificial Intelligence Systems, the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technologies, and Nataliia Shakhovska, the head of the Department.
– The essence of this program is to check the correctness of filling out documents that are transferred to the archive. The text that is in those document files is being processed, and the program emphasizes those points that it considers to be incorrectly filled in, – says Nataliia Shakhovska.
The development of such a program was estimated at 50 thousand hryvnias.
