The Institute of Geodesy, Lviv Polytechnic National University, became a participant in The Next Generation Program from the world leader in innovation in the field of satellite technologies for geodesy. JAVAD strives to work with qualified educational institutions around the world to help train the next generation of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) professionals. JAVAD GNSS solutions support almost all positioning, navigation and timing functions, so they can be taught in a wide range of subjects from GNSS basics to advanced topics, including data spectrum analysis, cyclical errors, topographic surveys and much more.
In March 2021, two sets of receivers were transferred to the Institute of Geodesy, Lviv Polytechnic. The director delegated the introduction of devices into the educational process to Anatolii Vivat, a senior lecturer at the Department of Engineering Geodesy. He developed video instructions for working with the device in static and real-time (RTK). This year the devices were used in educational and technological practice and practice with GNSS technologies for students of the Departments of Engineering Geodesy and the Department of Higher Geodesy and Astronomy.
During the reconnaissance of the new stations of the Geoterrace network, the Institute of Geodesy supervised the determination of coordinates at the Izmail site, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the same expedition, they gained an interesting experience of testing the Black Sea level with the JAVAD Triumph 2 device at the Polytechnic-3 Recreational Camp in Morskoye.
