The University Project Office suggest you to pay attention to the 5G for Smart Communities grant competition within the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) program
The aim of this call is to support the early deployment of 5G-based systems. Within the context of this call, the targeted SEDs are public authorities exercising public powers and public or private entities entrusted with the operation of services of general interest or services of general economic interest.
Projects will also contribute to provide the foundation for the development of «lead markets» for 5G and cloud-to-edge systems. Projects using open, disaggregated and interoperable technology solutions and which allow the emergence of a European ecosystem of 5G suppliers are encouraged.
CEF’s financial support is expected to accelerate the adoption of 5G communications to provide innovative services while facilitating wider 5G deployment and adoption. Such services can help reboot the overall economy after the COVID crisis, as well as support the transition to smart service provision in line with the goals of the European Green Deal.
The total budget is €50,000,000.
The deadline for submitting applications is February 23, 2023.
