Recently professor Yuriy Bobalo, Rector of Lviv Polytechnic National University, and Yakiv Smoliy, acting Head of the National Bank of Ukraine, have signed a Memorandum on co-operation between this banking institution and University.
Both parties, which signed the document, are united by the idea of European future, show common interest in efficient provision of high professional level of education, take steps in order to attract bank employees to the learning process, to the training of highly qualified and competitive professionals for enterprises of all property categories, scientific and educational institutions, state authority and management bodies.
This is aimed at breaking outdated stereotypes and forming a new intellectual elite of the country. It is about the necessity for improving and extending co-operation between the National Bank of Ukraine and Lviv Polytechnic in studying and integrating real demands of the job market and the prospects for the development of the fields of national economy into the curriculum.
This co-operation includes such directions as holding a number of joint seminars, workshops, conferences, etc., taking steps to raise the competitiveness of the University graduates, attracting the world intellectual potential to establish bilateral and multilateral co-operation, organizing students’ internship in the National Bank of Ukraine structures. There are also plans to conduct teaching and training of the bank employees, to take steps for technical protection of information and intellectual property protection, to integrate advanced innovative banking technologies into the learning process, etc. in Lviv Polytechnic.
