The University Project Office informs about the opening of new competitions of the European Union’s Erasmus+ programme for 2024.
The European Commission announced new calls on November 28, 2023. Traditionally this happens after the adoption of the Annual Work Program 2024. The budget for 2024 is 4.3 billion euros.
The Erasmus+ programme will continue to provide opportunities for
- exchanges, training and practice;
- internship and teaching;
- creation of cross-border cooperation projects in the fields of education and professional development, youth and sports.
All projects must correspond and contribute to the values of human dignity and rights, freedom, democracy, equality and the rule of law.
The main priorities remain unchanged:
- quality in education and training,
- inclusion and gender equality,
- green and digital transformations,
- training of teachers and mentors,
- Higher Education,
- geopolitical dimension, active citizenship and democratic participation.
The Erasmus+ programme supports the projects of Ukrainian organizations working in the fields of education, youth and sports. In total, 35 calls are open for Ukraine. New directions are being introduced – «Development of potential in the field of youth» and «Development of potential in the field of sports», in which higher education institutions and other organizations from Ukraine can be applicants and full partners. Erasmus+ will also continue its key role in promoting common EU values.
