The retraining courses for transferred to the reserve servicemen of Armed Forces of Ukraine, the participants of the Anti-Terrorist Operation in Ukraine and other law enforcement agencies, the members of their families, have been starting at Institute of Administration and Postgraduate Education of Lviv Polytechnic National University.
On February 23, the beginning of the courses was started with the video presentation about Norwegian Ministry of Defence which still finances the international project “Ukraine-Norway” and due to which these courses were successfully established. They were the result of the cooperation between the International Foundation for Social Adaptation, Public Organisation “West-Ukrainian Initiative Group” and Institute of Administration and Postgraduate Education.
During the 500-hour courses, the participants will be trained on a professional training curriculum “The English language and visual communication in business”. They will also attend the following disciplines: English, Graphic Design, Video Animation, Software for creation the video presentation and video animation, Site Management Systems, Creation of the online business card, the usage of visual communication in Internet Advertising, Business Development through the prism of change management, Project Management. The Department of Administrative and Financial Management and the Department of Management Technologies of Institute of Administration and Postgraduate Education and the Department of Publishing Information Technologies of Institute of Computer Science and Information Technologies and Linguistically Education Center of Lviv Polytechnic are involved in the studying process.
Yana Kozachenko, the Director for development of IFSA projects, Maksym Lapan, the Head of the Public Organisation “West-Ukrainian Initiative Group”, Mariana Zakharchuk, the Director of Institute of Administration and Postgraduate Education, Roman Kvit, the Deputy Director of Institute of Administration and Postgraduate Education, were present at the opening of the new studying circle of the “Ukraine-Norway” project. All managers and project partners reported on the importance of this project and outlined the prospects for its participants. Students have the opportunity to focus on the profound gaining proficiency in a new speciality to offer their skills to interested employers, or use them in starting their own business in the future.
The peculiarity of the project is that it gives a chance to improve not only soldiers’ lives but also their families, through the obtaining new knowledge and skills for personal development and new career opportunities.
