Lviv Polytechnic National University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with New Western University in Covina, California, USA.
This happened last week when representatives of the American university – President Kevin Liu and Founder and Board Member Caroline Pan – visited us. Lviv Polytechnic was represented by First Vice-Rector Oleh Matviikiv and Director of the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technologies Nataliia Shakhovska.
Kevin Liu shared his impressions of his visit to Lviv:
– Today Lviv was very inspiring for me. I was impressed by the way your university openly embraces innovation and moves with the times. There was a great energy of cooperation and a desire to learn and develop together. I was especially impressed by the depth of research projects and the way the team is committed to international cooperation. I am convinced that our partnership with Lviv Polytechnic National University will bring great success to both us and the Ukrainian community. Many thanks to everyone who made this day so productive and unforgettable!
The Agreement lays a solid foundation for international cooperation in education, research, innovation and cultural exchange. It is aimed at strengthening international cooperation and creating new opportunities for the development of innovations in the fields of information technology, software and artificial intelligence.
The main points of the Memorandum are:
- cooperation in education and research;
- organization of international conferences, seminars and teleconferences;
- participation in international educational programs and projects;
- academic mobility of students, postgraduates, and academics;
- publication and exchange of scientific materials;
- internships for students and academics.
We hope that the signing of this Agreement will be an important step towards the joint future of our universities!
