On September 12, 2018, students of the Departments of Software and Artificial Intelligence Systems of the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technologies of Lviv Polytechnic University were able to attend a lecture on How AI is transforming traditional business – some practical examples conducted by Geir Egil Myhre, a professional in the sphere of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, co-founder and SEO of Pivotic.com (Oslo, Norway).
At an interesting and professional lecture, which was attended by about 300 students, future programmers and specialists in the field of Artificial Intelligence have learned about how technology revolutionizes our world, lifestyles and doing business.
The first part of the lecture was devoted to the technologies and processes of software engineering. The speaker focused on the different levels of software architecture, the importance of all software engineering processes, the role of user experience (UX) in the development of successful software products and interaction of business processes and IT. In the second part of his exciting report, Geir Myhre demonstrated, using practical examples, how Artificial Intelligence changes the business model of modern companies, starting from stock brokers to a chain of hairdresser’s salons.
This is not the first lecture of the head of the Pivotic company for ICSIT students. Geir Myhre expressed interest in supporting the talented students within further cooperation with the Departments of the Institute.
